Former Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero and his wife, Fatima, were among high networth individuals from all walks of life who last weekend thronged the Castle Event Centre within the Kaduna metropolis for Glo Laffta Fest, the comedy flagship show of telecommunications giant, Globacom.
Others included representative of the current governor of the state and Special Adviser to the Governor on Creative Art, Hajia Halima Idris; senior members of the armed forces, such as, Air Vice Marshall Chris Okoye and his wife, Faith; Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Culture, Hon. Daniel Amuze Danauta; Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Dr. Manzo Daniel, chief executive officers and private sector heavy weights, among others.
They were entertained by Saeed Muhammad, popularly known as Funky Mallam, I Go Dye, Gordons, Acapella, Senator and De Don who were particularly outstanding.
Mercy Johnson-Okojie and Uche Jombo, anchored the show while DJ XGee provided music for the enjoyment of the audience. Also, Kannywood star, Sani Danja, made a celebrity appearance at the show to the rousing welcome of the audience and was joined by other celebrity guests like Nollywood legend, Kanayo O. Kanayo and accomplished Nollywood comic, Victor Osuagwu.
The tour continues in Abeokuta in Ogun State this week while other cities Awka, Ikeja, Ikorodu, FESTAC, Ajah, Suleja, Kubwa, Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Lokoja, Makurdi and Anyigba will host the show in a few weeks.
