The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Niger State, has created eight additional Continuous Voter Registration, CVR, centres.
In a statement by the Administrative Secretary, Isah Bungudu, in Minna yesterday, the Commission stated that the step was part of its efforts to decongest the existing centres and alleviate the problem of the long distance trekked by eligible voters before registering.
The statement added that the additional centres were in eight local government areas—Chanchaga Local Government secretariat; Lavun, Busu/Kuchi Prima-ry School; Shiroro, Erena Primary School; Paikoro, Kafinkoro Primary School.
Others are Mokwa, Gbara Tiffin Primary School; Mashegu, Kaboji Old Hospital; Mariga, Mariga Primary School, and Magama, Auna East Central P/U Kabala Primary School.
