ABUJA- CHAIRMAN, Senate Committee on Culture and Tourism, Senator Matthew Urhoghide, PDP, Edo South has congratulated governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State on his victory at the Supreme Court.
In a statement made available to Vanguard yesterday, Senator Urhoghide who was the Director- General of Osagie Ize- Iyamu Campaign Organisation of the PDP said, ” on behalf of myself, family and the good people of Edo South Senatorial District, I Senator Matthew Urhoghide congratulate the Executive Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki on his victory at the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
” I pray that the almighty God grants you the fortitude abs enablement to lead Edo State and its people to greater heights and success.”
The Supreme Court had on Monday, dismissed the appeal filed by the candidate of the PDP challenging the election of Governor Godwin Obaseki for lacking in merit.
The PDP’s candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu had approached the apex court filing the dismissal of his appeal at the Appeal Court, which challenged Obaseki’s election as governor.
