WARRI—Olomu Royal Company has commended the Ohworode of Olomu, HRM, Ovie, R. L. Ogbon, Ogoni-Oghoro I, who bagged a Doctor of Philosophy, (PhD) degree, honoris causa, from Delta State University, Abraka.
Olorogun Prince Ogbon, Managing Director of the company, in a congratulatory message, said that the honour was well deserved.
“The award of a PhD to our father is well deserved, we are happy. He is the only monarch ordained by the Anglican Communion and he is the oldest king in the state.”
The 100 years old king will be formally presented with the degree on July 22, 2017 during the convocation ceremony of the university.
Ogbon thanked the Delta State University for the honour done to the Olomu monarch.
